Sony PlayTV for PlayStation 3 is out now. After weeks of news and talking, idealo news uk reported too, PS3 fans can finally get their hands on the all-in-one TV tuner, that lets your PlayStation console display freeview TV in the UK and many other European countries. The set up is very handy and no big deal, as PlayTV connects via USB to the PS3, displaying easy to follow instructions. The TV-tuner ships with a TV antenna too.

The main key feature of PlayTV for free PS3 is to play games and record movies at the same time. It actually turns the much-loved console into a full-value TV, when connected with a screen. Remote Play additionally allows to watch DTT on the go with the PSP. The only requirement is to connect to a hotspot to activate Remote Play.

Just right before Christmas the free PlayStation 3 seems to metamorphose into a all-in-one home-entertainment device. Yesterday, Sony announced it has released Life with PlayStation, a global service of free news and information in real-time. A 3D globe interface builds the main navigation centre from where to follow amazing cloud structures around the world.

I don't see why people are making such a fuss about it not having direct tranfer to PSP. They use different formats, so the PS3 would need to convert it anyway as far as I can tell, you just have to do things manually.
Honestly, the things people will complain about when they have to put in a little effort.
